Teamspeak?

Hey, I saw the first signs of life on swat 3 reunited for the first time in a long time with a post about a teamspeak server.  I haven't been able to register a new user account there, when I try there is an error message.  Had an account on that site or some previous incarnation of it like 15 years ago but I am sure that must be long gone.  It would be excellent to chat on TS, can anyone hook a brotha up? xD

I'm not sure what would be going on with the forum registration. I'd have to ask CC.

The Teamspeak used to be an open door, until we started having problems with idiots in the last 2-3 years. They would come on the server, make strange noises on their mic, refuse to communicate and then leave seconds later...

We would ban them, only for them to come back later with a different name/TSID/IP address and do almost the exact same things again and again. They would also never make any effort to appeal their bans. We don't have time for that nonsense.

So we fixed the problem permanently. Now all new users have to get preauthorized through the forum.

That would be excellent, TY!  I was active in DnC back in 2010-2011, that was my first return to swat after almost a decade away at that time.  Was on TS with copy, pov, cman, mandaloin and company where they shared with me the miracle of VPN coop via hamachi.  The motherboard on my desktop died literally in the middle of a DM and ended what had been a really good time hanging with those guys.  By the time I got my crappy comp back from HP my career/family responsibilities had yet again consumed all my free time.  In a bit of a better place these days, kids are older and my career is in a more flexible place.

Things have changed alot over there. Poverty and C-man ran away over a decade ago. They didn't like that they couldn't ban people for stupid reasons. C-man ran off and broke poverty's heart and eventually poverty disapeared too and hasn't been seen for years. Used to be some pretty good games with them back in the day though.

The place isn't nearly as active as it used to be and alot of that probably has to do with stupid, big tech, social media platforms drawing people away. The door may be starting to swing the other way though, as alot of those places are starting to collapse in on themselves due to AI greed and enshitification.

The only option it gives is to enter a server password before even entering any kind of code, not seeing anywhere to enter that.

TS user name on new account is bAr0n187 if that helps.

When you connect. You have to go up to Connections/Connect up in the top and use it that way when you first connect. There's a box for the one time key there.

After you'll be able to do it the normal way.
